Panasonic Toughbook launched as Windows 8 and Android Tablets

The world’s leading technology innovator and Electronics Company, Panasonic has launched a new range of computing devices for the Indian enterprise market. This time Panasonic has come out with four new Toughbook ranges of rugged devices, which includes a Windows 8 tablet, an Android Tablet and two handheld computers, as well.

With these new Toughbook devices, Panasonic has aimed to address the needs and requirements of diverse industry segments which includes logistics, retail, aviation, automotive, utility, manufacturing and various other industry segments, as well. All of these digital devices bring forth innovative and powerful technology together with rich and varied features.

With the launch of Toughpad FZ-G1, Panasonic has introduced the world’s first enterprise grade Windows rugged tablet. The tablet comes with a 10.1 inch screen display with multi-touch and produces a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. It houses i5 Intel Core processor and gives a speed of upto 2.9 GHz. Toughpad FZ-G1 is dust, water and 120cm drop shock resistant and comes with a price tag of Rs. 175000 (which does not include taxes).

Together with Toughpad FZ-G1, Panasonic has also introduced Toughpad JT-B1, which is a full rugged Android tablet. It comes with a 7-inch screen display with an anti-glare film and produces a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. Further it carries the 1.5GHz OMAP4460 processor from Texas Instruments and runs on the Android 4.0. It is water, dust and 150cm shock resistant. The Toughpad JT-B1 comes with a price tag of Rs. 69000 (which does not include taxes).

Apart from these two tablets, Panasonic has also launched two rugged handheld computers named as JT-H300 and JT-H320HT. Both of these devices are based on the Panasonic TSA (Total Shock Absorbing) design and runs on Windows CE. While the JT-H300 would be available at a price tag of Rs.60000 (excluding taxes), the JT-H320HT is priced at Rs. 40000 (excluding taxes).
