Joker is an upcoming Bollywood adventurous and fantasy movie. Joker gained wide attention because it was going to be the second 3D Bollywood movie but was declined lately. This movie cast Sonakshi Sinha opposite Akshay Kumar. Joker is decided to release on 31st August 2012. This is second movie in which Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha are working together after the great success of their last movie Rowdy Rathore.
Joker is directed by Shirish Kunder this is Shirish’s second directorial venture after Jaan-E-Maan and first 3D movie. The movie is produced by Shirish Kunder, Farah Khan, and Akshay Kumar under the banner of Three’s Company, Hari Om Entertainment Co., and UTV Motion Pictures. Akshay Kumar name in the movie is Raj who is a NASA scientist of Indian origin and Sonakshi Sihna as Diva his wife.
Joker is about a village named Paglapur which at the time of independence didn’t find place neither in India nor in Pakistan. This village Paglapur has largest mental asylum in the region. One day Raj and his wife Diva find themselves on the road of Paglapur, Raj is working on a secret project in which he is making a device to communicate with aliens. The village is full of mad people’s one think himself as a lamp post, another speaks rubbish every time and all most everyone think Mahatma Gandhi is still around them.
Other crew member includes Shreyas Talpade as Akshay’s brother and Minisha Lamba opposite him as an innocent TV reporter, with Gurpreet Ghuggi, Asrani, Vindu Dara Singh and Chitrangda Singh in an item number. Joker was confused with movie Mera Naam Joker (1972) but in real Joker refer to a place that doesn’t exists in global map just as joker in pack of cards doesn’t belong to any suit tweeted by Sonakshi Sinha.
Shooting of the movie began on 14th February 2011. The movie is first shot in Ludhiana followed by Chandigarh and Mumbai. The first trailer of the movie is released on 13th July 2012 with the movie Cocktail. The music is composed by G.V. Prakash Kumar nephew of A.R. Rahman. Its song along with theatrical trailer was leaked on 11th July 2012.
In overall this movie is adventurous, fun to watch as this is India’s first extra terrestrial comedy.
