Kuch To Log Kahenge New Serial on Sony Television

Sony Entertainment Television (SET) is going to launch the romantic drama show ‘Kuch To Log Kahenge’ starting from 3rd October, 2011. This daily soap will be aired Mon- Fri at 8pm at Sony TV. The show’s theme is based on the Pakistani TV series “Dhoop Kinare” starring Rahat Kazmi and Marina Khan which gained immense popularity both in Pakistan and in India during 1980s.

The storyline is based on a love story between people from two different generations – the brooding, handsome and mature Dr Ashutosh and the young and spirited Dr Nidhi Verma, both reviving the roles of Dr. Ahmer Ansari and Dr. Zoya of “ Dhoop Kinare” respectively. The show will mark the return of Mohnish Behl in a lead role on the small screen. And for the first time, Kritika Kamra will share screen space with Mohnish as a lead opposite him. The show will also see an amalgamation of veteran actors such as Alok Nath, Vijay Kashyap and Rukhsar.

Dr. Aushutosh (Mohnish Behl) is a 38-year-old surgeon who is married to his duty and is a disciplinarian, while Dr.Nidhi Verma (Kritika) is a 24-year-old carefree, jovial, MBBS graduate. The shows depicts how they get attracted to each other but are unable to express their feelings because of the huge age difference.

The show is being written by Kamlesh Pandey, who scripted “Rang De Basanti”, and is being produced by Rajan Shahi. After ‘KBC’ having reached the length and breadth of the entire nation, Kuch To Log Kahenge’ will further strengthen the position of Sony Entertainment Television and let’s see whether it is able to gain the same popularity as it did in 1980s.
