Harley Davidson is back to India with its new bike, Fat Bob. The Fat Bob is a CKD (Completely Knocked Down) bike being the sixth in the category of Dyna range. The bike has been launched at a price of 12.80 Lakh (Ex-Showroom Delhi).
All the parts of the Fat Bob will be exported to India and then will be assembled in a plant Balal, Haryana.
Harley’s Fat Bob has been launched just after the few months Street Bob and Street Glide Custom CKD have been launched in India. With the increase in sale every year from the launch the decision is made.
The new bike Fat Bob has a V-twin (Twin Cam 103 engine) engine of 1690cc with the maximum torque of 135Nm@3500rpm and six speed mated transmission. It also has handmade fuel tank of 18.8 fitted in the bike.
The new Fat Boy resembles to Street Boy, in fact it is a mix of Street Boy and Fat Bob. The drag style handle bar and low stance make it somewhat resembles Street Boy.
Fat Bob has Twin Headlights which were in trend long ago even looks great in Fat Bob with its Chrome Finish that they get in the bike. The flat handle bars with the risen seat making it comfortable even for the short heighted riders. The clock is on the fuel tank and fuel gauge or a dummy fuel cap is on the left of the bike.
Fat Bob has a plush seat in single piece with pillow perch. The wide tear drop tank ending and rear dampers make the bike the most comfortable to ride. The sitting posture of the rider gives them the most comfortable ride making it an ideal bike for long drive.
The thing that make it different from other Harley’s bike are its meaty front tyre, forward mounted foot controls, handlebar of drag style, sleek two-up seats, double headlamps also.
As other Harley Davidson bikes have made their place in the Indian market same will be with the Fat Bob.
