Satyamev Jayate – Aamir Khan’s Television Debut Show

Aamir Khan is all set for his upcoming television debut show “Satyamev Jayate”. He is the latest superstar from Bollywood to make a small screen debut as a talk show host. The show is scheduled to go on air on 6th May 2012 and will be simultaneously broadcasted on Star Network Channels and Doordarshan on Sundays at 11 am. This is the first time in the Indian television history that a TV show is being telecasted simultaneously on both a private channel as well on a national broadcaster.

Satyamev Jayate is a Hindi TV show which has also been dubbed in several other Indian languages as well such as Tamil, Telegu, Malayalam, Kannada and Marathi. The concept of the show is based on the common man and is not fictional. According to Aamir Khan, “The show is about India and real life stories… stories of common people…real people. I am sure people will connect with the show. It is not a fiction show. One can call it a talk show”. So the show is basically a talk show which will discuss major issues affecting the country.

Satyamev Jayate is the creative effort initiated and co-produced by Aamir Khan Productions Pvt. Ltd and Star India and has been shot at various locations in several of the states such as Rajasthan, Kerala, Punjab, North East, Kashmir and Delhi. The show has 13 episodes in all. Its theme song has been written by Prasoon Joshi and has Ram Sampath as its composer. It is sung by Keerthi Sagathia.

According to Star India CEO, Uday Shankar, “Real characters touch people and so we are showing them on the show. We hope the show will be a clutter breaker. Aamir has the ability to move people with his experimentation and creativity”.

So don’t forget to tune in your TV sets to Star Network Channels(Star Pus, etc) or Doordarshan this coming summer on every Sunday at 11 am from 6th May 2012 to watch the never before talk show, “Satyamev Jayate”.
