IIT JEE 2012 Results Declared

IIT JEE 2012 results are declared today. These results are for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) for admissions in Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT). Delhi boy Arpit Agrwal has win the race with first postion, Bijoy Kochar from Chandigarh is second and Nishant Kaushik from Bhilai scored third place.

IIT JEE 2012 results were announces this morning and Delhi boy has scored 385 out of 401. This year more than 5.6 lakh students had appeared in this exam conducted on 8th April 2012. Most of the applications were from Kanpur zone followed by Madras zone.

This JEE exams where last joint entrance exam now JEE will be replaced with ISEET (Indian Science Engineering Eligibility Test). ISEET will be a national level exam which will conducted from 2013 onwards.

Students who have passed in the JEE exam will now compete for IIT’s 9600 undergraduate seats. Admissions in IIT will be based on All India Ranking, category ranks and choice submitted by students at the time of counseling.
