While being busy with our daily routines we sometimes forget those children who are the future of our Country or to say are future of any country. The person who loved the children most throughout his life is none other than our first Prime Minister Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru.

We celebrate the birthday of this legendry Hero who brought freedom to India with his valor attempts along with Gandhiji on 14th November every year as Children day. Although the children day is celebrated all over the world at different days but in India we celebrate it by remembering Jawahar Lal Nehru.

As a tribute to this great man and his love for the children, his birthday is celebrated all over India as ‘CHILDREN’S DAY’. Schools organize cultural programs for the day, with the students managing it all. Along with various cultural programs social, corporate and institutions conduct competitions for children to make them feel happy and let them enjoy in the way they want.

Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru was our first Prime Minister after Independence and was born on 14th November, 1889 in Allahabad and was educated in India and Britain. He remained Prime Minister of India from 1947 to 1964 and established parliamentary government with his “neutralist” policies in foreign affairs. He was also one of the principal leaders of India’s independence movement in the 1930s and ’40s and was elected by the Indian National Congress to assume office as independent India’s first Prime Minister.

Children used to say Pandit Nehru as “Chacha Nehru” and during his lifetime he always had a big corner for the children. Jawahar Lal Nehru loved the children and was found engaged with many children during the free time. Children in turn also use to love Nehruji and were fond of him.

Every year we celebrate the festival with our children and offer them with gifts and toys. Let’s celebrate the festival this year by making those children happy who are not able to get the proper education, fooding and lodging in their early life and are facing the troubles and try to help them in every possible way.

Below we have collected some beautiful pictures of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru along with Children which will make you remember on his birthday.

<img

Once residents enrol for Aadhaar, service providers will no longer face the problem of performing repeated Know Your Customer (KYC) checks before providing services.

Residents would also be spared the trouble of repeatedly proving identity through documents each time they wish to access services such as obtaining a bank account, passport, or driving license etc.

Through this system, authorized individuals (‘Introducers’) who already have an Aadhaar, can introduce residents who don’t have any identification documents, enabling them to receive their Aadhaar.

How To Enroll Your Aadhaar Card?

Aadhaar enrollment is free of cost and you can go to any authorized Aadhaar enrollment center anywhere in India with your identity and address proof with Photo ID cards like PAN card and Govt ID cards for identity proof. Common proofs of identity and address are election photo ID card, Ration card, passport and driving license.

If the head of the household has relevant documents, he/she can first enrol and then introduce others in the family while they are enrolling. At the enrollment center, you need to fill your personal details within the form. Your photo, finger-prints and iris scan will be taken as a part of the enrollment After that you will get an acknowledgment slip with an temporary enrolment number and other details captured during enrolment.

If your application is successful, an Aadhaar number will be generated and mailed to your address normally within 60 to 90 days.

Check Your Status of Aadhaar Card: You can also check the current status of your Aadhaar card if you have already applied. The top of your acknowledgement slip contains 14 digit enrolment number and the 14 digit date and time of enrolment. These 28 digits together form your temporary enrolment ID (EID).You can enter the enrollment number and date of application in the form provided in the below link:

<a

It is the festival of light and happiness celebrated with different reasons. People celebrate this festival with great enthusiasm and joy. It’s a four day festival having a great historical importance signifying the triumph of good over evil.

Not only Hindus but other religions also celebrate it with different reasons like Jains marks the attainment of moksha or nirvana by Mahavira in 527 BC. Sikhs celebrate it as Bandhi Chhor Diwas (The Celebration of Freedom) of Guru Hargobind. But mainly it is celebrated by Hindus which mark it as the festival of the year and remembers the return of Lord Rama, along with Sita and Lakshmana, from his 14-year-long exile and vanquishing the demon-king Ravana.

We are celebrating Diwali from many years and the main reason behind the celebration is related to Hindu mythology when Lord Rama along with his brother Laxman and wife Sita returns Ayodhya after 14 years of exile life and after conquering Ravana. It’s been said that when Lord Rama returned to his home it was the most joyous moment for the whole family and courtiers and they celebrated it with immense happiness and lit diyas (ghee lamps) in rows of 20 and burned firecrackers.

How It is Celebrated?
Diwali is celebrated all over India in different ways. It’s a five day festival starting from Dhanteras to Bhaiduj. During Diwali, all the celebrants wear new clothes and share sweets and snacks with family members and friends and worship Godess Laxmi and Ganesha. It is celebrated by farmers as a harvesting festival. In Bengal the festival is dedicated to the worship of Mother Kali, the dark goddess of strength. The whole country celebrates it one or the other way.

The Five Days Festival
Diwali is not the one day festival, it is celebrated over the span of five days. All days are celebrated with different reasons and in different ways. The first day is the Dhanteras and the last is the Bhaidhuj. These days are listed below:

1. Dhanteras: Thye first day is the Dhanteras which is considered as the auspicious occasion of wealth and prosperity. Dhana means wealth and Trayodashi means 13th day and falls on the 13th day of the second half of the lunar month. People buy utensils and gold which is considered auspicious on this day. This day is regarded as the Jayanti (Birth Anniversary) of God Dhanvantari, the Physician of Gods, who came out during Samudra manthan, the churning of the great ocean by the gods and the demons.

2. NarakChaudas: This was the day on which the demon Narakasura was killed by Krishna and signifies the victory of good over evil and light over darkness. People celebrate it lighting small lamps all around the house and drawing rangolis outside their homes. They also perform a special puja with offerings to Krishna or Vishnu and take a bath before sunrise, when the stars are still visible in the sky. Children burn crackers and celebrate it with joy.

3. Lakshmi Puja on Amavasya: The third day is the most important day of the Diwali celebration which includes the worship of Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, and Ganesh, the God of auspicious beginnings at their homes and work places. For the businessmen it is the most auspicious day of the year as it marks the incoming of Goddess Laxmi (as wealth) in their homes. Children and other members wear new clothes and light lamps in the homes to welcome prosperity and well-being. After the worship they burn crackers and enjoy the night. People also do gambling which is considered good for that day as it signifies the incoming of wealth and prosperity throughout the year.

4. Govardhan Puja: Also known as Annakoot Pooja the day is celebrated by remembering it as the day when Krishna, an incarnation of god Vishnu defeated Indra and by lifting Govardhana hill to save his kinsmen and cattle from rain and floods. On this day large quantities of food are prepared and worshiped.

5. BhaiDuj: On this day, brothers and sisters meet to express love and affection for each other. It is based on a story of brother Yama, lord of Death and his sister Yami (the river Yamuna). Usually brothers visit their sisters’ place and have a meal there and give gifts to their sisters.

<img

The reason behind is that the after returning from banishment Lord Rama first of all worshipped Goddess Laxmi and Lord Ganesha and since then the trend is being setup to worship both these Gods.

Karva Chauth 2011

Life

2011

celebrate

date

festival

Images

India

Karva Chauth

Karva Chauth date 2011

Karwa Chauth

Karwa Chauth date 2011

photo

pictures
<guid

After nine days of spiritual owing to Goddess Durga in navratri we celebrate the tenth day with the occasion of Dusshera.
Dasha-hara meaning “remover of bad fate”, is among the most important festivals celebrated in India. Many Hindus observe Dusshera by offering special prayer meetings and food to the gods and then the burning of statue of Ravaan is done at various places all around the country.

According to Hindu mythology, at this day Lord Rama wins her lovely wife Sita, who was carried off by Ravana, the demon king of Lanka. He killed Ravana with the help of Hanuman and his vaanar Sena and rescued Sita from the demon Ravana.

Moreover, Dusshera is also celebrated as the victory of Goddess Durga over Mahishasura, a very powerful demon. Goddess Durga with her immense power fought with Mahishasura and after the nine days of raged battle Mahishasura was defeated and killed by Durga.

India, the country with vast number of religions and faiths celebrates this festival in different ways in different states. In north India, Ramlila Utsav is organized for nine days displaying the short form of epic Ramayana and on the tenth day the burning of Ravana is done. In Mysore, Dusshera is celebrated as a procession of the goddess Chamundeshwari on a Golden Ambari or an elephant-mounted throne.

There are outdoor fairs and large parades with burning of effigies of Ravana ,his brother Kumbhakarna and son Meghanad in the evening.

In West Bangal Durga Visarjan is performed, In Kerela a special ritual of initiating children into studies is performed, Shami/ Jammi puja is celebrated as an exchange gift of leaves from the Shami tree, as a symbol of the story of the Pandavas brother’s exile in the Mahabharata stories, in Andhra Pradesh. While in Kullu valley of Himanchal Pradesh a week long festival is organized on Dusshera. Similarly other states also celebrate this festival with great enthusiasm and spiritualism.

Every year we celebrate the festival with the same process by burning the Ravana statues. Taking the message from the history of winning good over bad if we think we are proud Indians then we should also burn the corruption from our country which is presently at the peak to make the country as pure as the occasion. The level of corruption is rising too high and we should do something for that, like the courageous attempts made by Anna Hazare and his team, if we want to see the shining India. So, let’s make attempt to burn all the evils from inside of us and encourage others to live on the path of honesty.

<img

Today is his Birthday and the whole nation celebrates this as a Gandhi Jayanti.

Although he died more than 60 years ago but he is still present in our hearts in some or the other way. He is the real Hero of India and who brought independence to our India and made us free from the British rule.
Mahatma Gandhi – the father of Nation was the man of great principles and fundamentals and is popularly known for his non- violence, justice and tranquil nature. He fought his every movement with Ahimsa and peace and ruled out Englishmen out of the country. Being born on 2nd October 1869 at Porbandar, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi always had love and affection towards his country and after studying Law from London he returned to India and suffered many hardships and brutal beatings from the British Government. After that he decided to against them and started different movements all over India. He became popular among the Indians and made his mind to fight for Independence of India.

After much efforts and robust attitude towards the spirit for the Nation he was able to bring Independence in India. But the one thing which he never left was his non- violent nature. Whether it was his Non- cooperation movement, civil disobedience movement or Quit India movement he never took a step of violence. And finally India got its Freedom with his efforts.

The later stage of his life was not good and he was shot dead by Nathuram Godse in public place on 30th January 1948. Although so many years have been passed away but still he is present in our hearts as a real hero and on 15th June 2007 United nations general Assembly adopted a resolution of celebrating it as a International day of non- violence.

We remember him in different ways; some people celebrate it as a Dry day while some remember him through the movies like Lage Raho Munna Bhai, Gandhi my Father. The latest Janlokpal Movement by Anna Hazare also made us to think about Gandhiji who threw Corruption out of the country 64 years before.

Here are some of the greatest sayings of Mahatma Gandhi which became the axioms and are true lines of human Character:

“The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.”

“Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever”

“Whenever you are confronted with an opponent, conquer him with love.”

“Earth provides enough to satisfy every man’s need, but not every man’s greed”

“Man should forget his anger before he lies down to sleep.”

“We must be the change we want to see.”

<img
